Jared Ensminger
Hello! My name is Jared Ensminger and I'm the owner, creative director, and lead cinematographer for 6th Day Films!
I love Jesus, my wife, our baby boy, Brooks and our sweet girl, Olivia! I’m a big fan of coffee, college football (when LSU is good) and Chipotle.
I'm also the guy behind 6th Day Films! I have a love and passion for creating films that couples will love for a lifetime. Your wedding day is going to go by in a blur; I want to be there to capture those moments and craft a film that helps you relive those special moments any time you want!
Sarah Ensminger
Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m a producer, cinematographer, and first draft critique-er at 6th Day! I’m married to Jared and loving life as a mom!
My favorite part of videography is the candid shots of the day. Jared is definitely the master mind behind it all but I love being able to catch shots that he couldn’t see!
Jared Smith
Hey, I’m Jared (yes, another one)! I’m the lead editor and cinematographer at 6th Day Films—and I’ve been telling cinematic stories for over four years now. I’ve worked on everything from heartfelt passion projects to $1M+ feature films, Whether I’m behind the camera or deep in the edit, I’m all about making videos that look gorgeous and feel real.

Jared’s favorite part of any wedding day? The first look and the vows — the real, emotional stuff that makes storytelling worth it.
If he had to choose between the beach and the mountains, he’s 100% team ocean breeze.
His favorite local venue? The Sixpence — all charm, no stress.
And if you’re planning a destination wedding, Jared’s bags are already (mentally) packed for Lake Como, Italy... or anywhere that looks remotely like a castle.
Daniel Alecio
Hello, I’m Daniel! I’m a cinematographer at 6th Day Films.
With nearly a decade of experience as a professional photographer and videographer, I specialize in capturing the unexpected—whether through creative portraits, experimental shots, or bold angles that break the mold. I love seeing what others might miss and turning it into something unforgettable.
A Few Fun Facts About Daniel
Daniel’s favorite wedding day moments? The first look — when emotions are raw and real — and, of course, the cake cutting (because dessert is serious business).
He’s all about mountain air over salty seas — give him pine trees and scenic overlooks any day.
Around Indy, he’s a big fan of Black Iris Estate — elegant, timeless, and full of charm.
As for dream destinations? Santorini, Greece tops the list — think sunsets, cliffside views, and all the Mediterranean magic.
HOW IT STARTED
As most stories in my life do, 6th Day Films started one morning while I (Jared Ensminger), was making coffee and getting ready for the day. My old roommate asked me a surprising question, "Hey, would you consider videoing my wedding?" My quick response was a resounding, "No! I can't do that!" At that time, I had several years of highlight videos and films under my belt in my job in student ministry, but I had never taken on a project like a wedding. It felt, as my friend Vizzini would say, "Inconceivable!"
After a few minutes of trying to talk me into it, he walked away having unsuccessfully changed my mind. However, his question continued to ring in my mind. Several cups of coffee and a few days later, I went back to him with a change of heart. I decided I'd give it a try, but was still unsure of myself.
Thankfully, some friends of mine were getting married soon after, so I asked if I could film their wedding. They graciously said "yes," and I created a film they loved. After that, I was hooked! I fell in love with the process—the planning, coordinating, and creativity of telling a couple’s story.
From that one question at 7:00am, I now find myself creating wedding films that capture the unique and meaningful moments of a couple’s big day. A few months later, Sarah joined the team and began helping craft our beautiful films.
Since then, our team has continued to grow—something we’re incredibly excited about. We’ve recently added new faces, each bringing fresh creativity and passion for storytelling. It’s been a joy to see our little team expand, and we’re more equipped than ever to serve couples with excellence and care.
We would LOVE the opportunity to work with you to create a film you’ll treasure for a lifetime!
SLOW DOWN THE BLUR
We started brainstorming and filtering through different names and eventually landed around the idea of creation. On the 6th day, the Bible tells us God created mankind. Since that day, every day has been unique for each human being.
Whether you are a religious person or not, your wedding day is going to be special and unique! The goal for us at 6th Day Films is to capture and create a film that reflects all of those moments and memories for you to enjoy for a lifetime!
To be honest, "Jared + Sarah Ensminger Films" or video or productions doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. So as we began trying to come up with names for the company, we wanted to pick something that had meaning to us and the couples we’d be working with. We wanted something that would indicate the uniqueness of each couple's wedding day!

Jared and Sarah were incredible to work with throughout the whole process. He took the time about a month before to ask us what emotions we wanted to feel when watching our wedding video.
